The Marion Ravenwood (actress Karen Allen) character
first appeared in the original Indy Jones movie called
Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark from
1981. Marion Ravenwood was the daughter of Professor
Abner Ravenwood and the former girlfriend of Indiana
Jones. The romantic relationship between Marion
Ravenwood and Indy Jones ended badly prior to the
events of Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost
Ark. In the subsequent Indy Jones films named Indiana
Jones and the Temple of Doom (1984) and Indiana Jones
and the Last Crusade (1989), Marion Ravenwood had no
role in these two films.

However, for the fourth Indiana Jones movie titled
Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull,
Marion Ravenwood returned with her and Indy's
biological son named Mutt Williams. At the conclusion
of Indiana Jones 4, Indy Jones and Marion Ravenwood
were married. Marion Ravenwood will return for Indy
Jones 5 v. It is uncertain exactly when Indiana
Jones 5 v will be filmed for the next cinematic
worldwide release.
